Sunflower Foundation supports nonprofit organizations and communities through a combination of strategic and responsive grantmaking, both at the organizational and system levels.
One such way is by issuing periodic Requests for Proposals.
Our Current Request for Proposals
Sunflower Foundation invites Kansas communities and nonprofits working on behalf of communities to submit proposals for the Sunflower Trails: Paving the Way – From Blazing Trails to Building Community grant program.
Sunflower is offering this RFP to support trails as an evidence-based strategy to increase opportunities for outdoor physical activity, strengthen social connections, and improve overall health and quality of life in Kansas communities.
Recognizing that communities are at different stages of trail development – from those pursuing their first public trails, to those seeking to elevate the impact of existing trails, to those looking to become certified Trail Towns – this initiative provides multiple competitive funding pathways.
Online applications are available in Sunflower’s grant management system, Fluxx. The link to Fluxx is in the RFP, which you can read and download by clicking the button below.
