Sunflower Foundation names Jasmine Ortega as its new KFA program manager

Sunflower Foundation is pleased to welcome Jasmine Ortega to its Kansas Fights Addiction team. She started in her new role as KFA program manager on July 1.

Jasmine supports the foundation’s KFA work in the areas of grant management and program development, assisting with due diligence, research, convenings, special projects, and administrative tasks.

Prior to joining the foundation, Jasmine worked for CKF Addiction Treatment as a contracted substance use disorder (SUD) coordinator at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kan., where she offered patients assistance with emotional support, resources, and referrals. She coordinated with multidisciplinary teams throughout the hospital and with outside agencies to provide holistic care. She previously worked as a social worker at Stormont Vail Hospital.

Jasmine earned a Bachelor of Social Work, then later earned master’s degrees in Social Work and Business Administration, all from Washburn University.
