Harvesters hosting Food 4 Thought panel discussion on March 13 in Lawrence

Elizabeth Burger, senior vice president for programs & strategy for Sunflower Foundation, will be joining a panel of women dedicated to finding solutions to food insecurity issues in Kansas when she participates in the Harvesters Community Food Network’s Food 4 Thought: A Conversation About Hunger, scheduled for Thursday, March 13, in Lawrence.

Harvesters Chief Resource Officer Elizabeth Keever will moderate the food insecurity panel discussion, which is free and open to the public and scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at the Cider Gallery, 810 Pennsylvania St., in Lawrence. Through her work at the foundation, Burger has helped spearhead initiatives around food access, nutrition security and Food is Medicine.

The following individuals are slated to join Burger on the panel: Wynne Dillon, ambassador and former board member for Harvesters; Christina Haswood, program director for Climate + Energy Project (CEP) and former Kansas state representative; Susan Kang, senior advisor at the Kansas Health Foundation; Sheila Regehr, corporate affairs manager for Dillons; and Aundrea Walker, executive director of Just Food.
