Walking, running or riding on a trail is a great way to spend time outdoors in the fresh air, and that can make a big difference in your health. With that in mind, many Kansas communities are finding creative ways to link health care and their local trails.
Sunflower Foundation, as a longtime supporter of public trails and their role in improving health and well-being, wants to hear stories from health clinics and trail champions across the state about how they are connecting their health systems and community trails.
Maybe your clinic hosts Walk With A Doc events, has walking prescriptions, or sponsors community walking groups. Or maybe, you’ve found another unique way to bring together health systems and trails to support well-being.
Your stories might inspire other communities to take steps (literally!) toward better health.
