Sunflower Foundation is excited to announce the newest member of its team, Dana Thompson, who recently started in her new role as associate director of the Sunflower Nonprofit Center.
As associate director, Dana coordinates meetings and events held at the Nonprofit Center, handling all aspects of pre-event planning, onsite event management and logistical support, including audio-visual technology. She also plays a lead role in developing and cultivating relationships with organizations and agencies that use the center.
Prior to joining the foundation, Dana worked for 22 years as a project coordinator for KFMC Health Improvement Partners in Topeka, where she worked to ensure timely and effective project development and completion and assisted with planning regional and statewide events.
Dana, who has an Associate of Arts from Washburn University, joins Director Tami Sterling and Event Manager Maria Lopez to form the Nonprofit Center team.
