Investing in the people and programs that impact the health of Kansans Beginning with our first grants awarded in 2001, the Sunflower Foundation has focused on investing its resources in organizations and programs that are focused on improving the health of Kansans.
Examples of special issue investments include providing support for a constitutional amendment that removed language taking away the right to vote for those who suffer from mental illness; supporting educational efforts that resulted in the passage of a clean indoor air law; and providing one-time sustainability support to help organizations delivering critical health services to Kansans continue their work during the recent national financial crisis.
