During the final session, Kansas Governor Mark Parkinson congratulated the Fellows on their graduation from the program and thanked them for their commitment. He told them their efforts to strengthen the advocacy capacity of the diverse health nonprofits they represent are important because the people on whose behalf they advocate often have no other voice and because advocacy dramatically leverages the power of their organizations.
